Description
  • The model describes a membrane tubular reactor with the supply of the reactant both at the inlet of the tube and through its permeable walls. The simplest exothermic first order reaction is assumed to take place. Despite its simplicity, the model can provide spatially and temporally nonhomogeneous concentration and temperature profiles, such as fronts, pulses and periodic phase waves, and some other more complex patterns. Among these complex structures are zig-zag patterns, spatiotemporal chaos, and spatially nonhomogeneous stationary structures. Here we focus mainly on the stationary structures, which arise as a consequence of convective instabilities. They display multiplicity with an astonishingly high number of coexisting patterns..

  • Model popisuje membránový trubkový reaktor s přívodem reaktoru jak na vstupu do trubky tak přes propustnou stěnu trubky. Je použita jednoduchá exotermní reakce prvního řádu. I přes jednoduchost tento model poskytuje časově a prostorově nehomogenní koncentrační a teplotní profily, jako např. fronty, pulsy, periodické vlny a jiné více složité struktury. Mezi nimi jsou klikaté struktury, časoprostorový chaos a prostorově nehomogenní stacionární stavy. Zde se zaměřujeme na stacionární struktury, které vznikají v důsledku konvektivních nestabilit. Ty vykazují multiplicitu a překvapivě vysokým počtem koexistujících stavů. (cs)
