Description
  • Productivity of multiproduct batch plants is markedly influenced by bottleneck apparatuses. The bottlenecks can be identified by several criteria, e.g. high apparatus utilization, blocking of apparatuses prior to a bottleneck, etc. Different processing times for corresponding operations of multiproduct processes cause the bottleneck to move from operation to operation depending on the produced products, i.e., floating bottlenecks occur. The bottlenecks of a multiproduct line can be in some measure resolved by placing of intermediate storage before the critical apparatus. A simulation study of a model multiproduct line was carried out and based on the simulation experiments intermediate storage units were placed into the line. The results were compared with those of intermediate storage placement optimization. All mathematical and simulation calculations were carried out by means of Witness 2004 simulation software; Witness Optimizer 4.1 optimization module was used for optimization.

  • Výkon víceproduktových vsádkových výrob je výrazně ovlivňován úzkoprofilovými aparáty. Tyto aparáty lze ve výrobní lince identifikovat podle několika kritérií: např. vysoké využití, blokování předcházejících aparátů, atd. Úzký profil vsádkové výrobní linky lze do určité míry eliminovat umístěním mezioperačních zásobníků před kritický aparát. Je provedena simulační studie využití modelové víceproduktové vsádkové linky a na základě simulačních experimentů jsou do linky umístěny mezioperační zásobníky. Výsledky jsou srovnány s výsledky optimalizace umístění mezioperačních zásobníků. Všechny výpočty a simulace jsou prováděny v prostředí simulátoru Witness 2004, k optimalizaci je použit optimalizační modul Witness Optimizer 4.0. (cs)
