Description	Creation of simulation models and computer simulation of production systems and processes is a modern efficient method for improvement of their behaviour and increase in their productivity. Usage of simulation methodology gives a whole range of advantages. It is better to monitor the behaviour of a model instead of complicated and costly observation of the dynamical behaviour of a process and its responses to executed changes. Speeding up of simulation time enables during a short period to identify bottlenecks, test various modification of a process and evaluate their impacts to process behaviour. Mathematical models are often too complicated and hard to solve or on the contrary too simple and inadequate to reality. At modelling of random processes both standard and experimental distribution can be used which enables to examine also interaction of random events. (en) Tvorba simulačních modelů a počítačová simulace výrobních systémů a procesů je moderní účinná metoda zlepšování jejich chování a zvyšování jejich produktivity. Použití simulační metodologie přináší celou řadu výhod. Místo složitého a ekonomicky nákladného sledování dynamického chování procesu a jeho reakce na provedení změn, je výhodnější sledovat chování modelu. Urychlení simulačního času umožňuje během krátké doby identifikovat úzká místa, testovat různé úpravy procesu a vyhodnotit jejich dopady na chování procesu. Matematické modely často bývají příliš složité a obtížně řešitelné nebo naopak příliš jednoduché a neodpovídající realitě. Při modelování náhodných jevů lze použít standardní i experimentální náhodná rozdělení, která umožňují zkoumat i interakce náhodných jevů. (cs)
