Description
  • According to %22Purple book%22 Pasquill - Gifford´s (P.G.) model is a proper tool for modeling of dispersions from instantaneous and continuous steady-state point sources, despite more sophisticated approaches are also available. Nevertheless actual scenarios of releases could be more complex in practice than those for which the basic P.G. models have been developed. For example there can be more instantaneous releases from different sources with time delay, but for the same wind velocity and direction as well as for one class of meteorological conditions. Individual effects are put together according to principle of superposition. The scenarios can be described either for any relevant point of the area under consideration or by means of isopleths i.e. curves and surfaces with a constant significant value of concentration of a substance. This approach seems to be applicable for modelling synergetic and additive effects and for evaluation of sensitivity of results on input

(cs)
