  • This work considers applications of lattice fluid equation of state (EOS) for description of the state behavior and phase equilibrium of pure fluids. As a starting point, You-Yoo-Lee(1) EOS was used. EOS derived and tested in this work, unlike in previous works, presumes dependency of the interaction parameter eii upon the size of the lattice cell (distance between interacting parts of molecules). The temperature dependence of eii was left unchanged. Lennard-Jones potential was used to represent this dependency. By this presumption, the set of adjustable parameters changes from eii, Vi*, z, VH to e, s, Vi*, z, VH where e and s are the parameters of the Lennard-Jones potential. Applicability and flexibility of this EOS is tested on a particular set of fluids with a wide range of polarity (from nonpolar (CH4) to highly polar (CH3OH)).
