Description
  • Mathematical model of an enzymatic separating microreactor with electroosmotic control of reaction component transport rates is analysed. An enzyme reaction with substrate inhibition splitting non-ionic substrate to two non-ionic products is considered. The reactor operates in periodic regime, when the channel entry is exposed to periodic substrate concentration pulses. Chromatographic separation of reaction components therefore proceeds in the channel. Effects of principal operational parameters of thereactor system - reaction channel length, electric current density, substrate inlet concentration, volumetric mass transfer coefficient and specific enzyme activity - on resolution of the products at reactor outlet are analysed. Existence of optimum par ameter values (maximising product resolution) is shown and multiparametric optimization of separation efficiency is performed.
