  • Hops (Humulus lupulus L.) are one of the basic raw materials for brewing beer. They contribute not only the so-liked bitterness, the full taste and aroma, but also a number of substances that are the subject of medical and pharmaceutical research to beer. These remarkable substances also include polyphenols - natural antioxidants. Polyphenols substances generally contribute to the chemical-physical stability of beer, the formation of foam and the resistance towards aging and oxidation of beer. They also have a wide spectrum of beneficial effects on health, such as for example their anti-carcinogenic and anti-microbial effects, they regulate blood pressure and the blood glucose level.

  • Chmel (Humulus lupulus L.) je jednou ze základních surovin na výrobu piva. Přináší do piva nejen tolik oblíbenou hořkost, plnost chuti a vůní, ale i řadu látek, jenž jsou předmětem Iékařského a farmaceutického výzkumu. Mezi tyto pozoruhodd látky patří polyfenoly - přírodní antioxidanty. Polyfenolové látky se obecně podílejí na chemicko-fyzikální stabilitě piva, na formování pěny a na odolnosti proti stánutí a oxidaci piva. Dále mají široké spektrum zdraví prospěšných účinků, jako např. antikarcinogenní a antimikrobiální účinky, regulují krevni tlak a hladinu glukosy v krvi. (cs)
