Description
  • Materials for construction of steam turbines are in operation exposed to impact of high temperatures and pressures, aggressive environment and mechanical loading. The major influence on their function and service life have cycle chemistry parameters, especially pH, content of O2, CO2 and other dissolved compounds. In experimental section is monitored the behavior of materials used for turbines and their components construction. Samples of stainless steel and nickel superalloys were exposed in autoclave in terms of different cycle chemistry and thereafter analyzed by method of ESCA (XPS), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and metallography.
