Description	This paper deals with the identification and determination of high-molecular-weight n-alkanes of petroleum origin using high-temperature gas chromatography (HTGC). Analysed samples, which were the concentrates of saturated hydrocarbons, differed in both the total content of n-alkanes and their distribution. They were analysed on various types of HTGC columns differing in length and inner diameter. Analyzované vzorky koncentrátů nasycených uhlovodíků se lišily jak v celkovém obsahu n-alkanů, tak v jejich distribuci. Vzorky byly analyzovány s využitím několika vysokoteplotních chromatografických kolon s odlišnými parametry. Rozdíly byly pozorovány v účinnosti separace a kvantitativní eluce n-alkanů nad C40, zatímco stanovený celkový obsah n-alkanů byl srovnatelný pro všechny použité kolony (cs)
