  • Konverze vodního plynu (WGS) je jednou z hlavních reakcí vedoucích k produkci vodíku z plynných, kapalných i tuhých uhlovodíků. Používá se k produkci vodíku pro syntézu amoniaku, k úpravě poměru H2/CO syntézního plynu či k detoxikaci plynů. WGS reaktor je využíván v palivových procesorech, které v několikastupňovém procesu produkují z uhlovodíkových paliv plyn bohatý na vodík. WGS jednotka je zde umístěna za reformérem a slouží jednak k sekundární produkci vodíku, jednak snižuje obsah CO v reformátu. Tyto palivové procesory (FP) jsou důležitou alternativou získávání paliva pro PEMFC pro stacionární i mobilní využití. Mikrostrukturované reaktory jsou pro FP s výhodou používány pro jejich schopnost miniaturizace systému, intenzifikace procesu a vysoké rychlosti přenosu tepla a hmoty v porovnání s klasickými reaktory. Použití mikroreaktorů je vhodné pro systémy, kde je zapotřebí vysoké rychlosti přenosu tepla, stejně jako pro kinetické studie vysoce exotermních reakcí za téměř izotermních podmínek. Tato (cs)

It is used to produce hydrogen for ammonia synthesis, to adjust the hydrogen-to-carbon monoxide ratio of synthesis gas, to detoxify gases. The WGS reactor is widely used as a part of fuel processors which produce hydrogen-rich stream from hydrocarbon-based fuels in a multi-step process. The WGS unit is placed downstream the fuel reformer in order to increase overall efficiency of hydrogen production and to lower CO content in reformate.
