| Description
| - Influence of mileage on efficiency of catalytic converters enabling reduction of exhaust emissions from combustion of compressed natural gas (CNG) in a Skoda LIAZ heavy-duty bus engine was determined. The engine tests were performed using adapted emission test procedure ECE R49. The regulated (CO, HC, NOx and PM) and organic (individual hydrocarbons, aldehydes and polyaromatic hydrocarbons) emissions were measured. The emissions were measured with a new catalyst and after mileage 20, 40, 60, 80 and 100 thousands kilometers. HC, CO, and aldehyde emissions produced by the engine equipped with KARSIT converter were markedly lower than those produced by the engine equipped with ECOS converter. The efficiency of KARSIT converter in reduction of HC emissions gradually decreased with increasing mileage from 95 % to 51 % after 100 ths km. - Byl sledován vlivu počtu ujetých kilometrů na účinnost katalytických konvertorů snižujících emise vznikající při spalování zemního plynu v autobusovém motoru Škoda LIAZ. Byly stanoveny emise oxidu uhelnatého, sumy těkavých uhlovodíků, oxidů dusíku, jednotlivých těkavých uhlovodíků, aldehydů a polyaromátů. Tyto emise byly měřeny při jednotlivých režimech testu ECE 49 s motorem vybaveným novým oxidačním katalyzátorem ECOS nebo KARSIT a s týmž katalyzátorem po ujetí 20, 40, 60, 80 a 100 tisíc kilometrů. Účinnost katalyzátoru KARSIT při snižování emisí CH, CO a aldehydů byla větší než účinnost katalyzátoru ECOS. V závislosti na počtu ujetých kilometrů se účinnost katalyzátoru KARSIT při snižování emisí metanu postupně zhoršovala, účinnost při snižování emisí CO a aldehydů se příliš neměnila. Účinnost katalyzátoru ECOS při snižování emisí CH se výrazně zhoršila již po několika hodinách provozu, po 18 000 km klesla z původních 63 % na pouhých 26 % a poté se již výrazně neměnila.
