Description
  • The addition of solid nanoparticles is one of the possibilities how to modify the properties of organosilicon consolidants. Besides the possible improvement of the mechanical properties of the resulting gels such consolidants properties as penetration ability, the speed of the gel creation, its appearance (degree of cracking), etc. could be affected. The paper shows some possibilities how the selected properties of consolidant or gel (sedimentation of nanoparticles, viscosity changes, cracking of gel, etc.) could be evaluated.
