  • V rámci předkládané práce byla zjišťována degradace n-heptanu metodou elektrického výboje v přítomnosti TiO2. Měření bylo prováděno za použití TiO2 fotokatalyzátoru a bez něj. Rychlost zániku výboje byla zvýšena proudícím vzduchem nebo směsí vzduchu a heptanu, skrz jehlu. Experimenty byly prováděny na nerezových síťkách potažených povlakem TiO2 nebo práškovým TiO2. V obou případech byla účinnost odbourávání zvýšena zvýšením hustoty energie. Maximální účinnost (50.4%) zániku náboje byla dosažena s použitím nerezové síťky potažené práškem TiO2, při hustotě energie 350 kJ.m-3 a při relativní vlhkosti směsi vzduch/n-heptan 27%. V tomto případě vlhkost zvyšuje účinnost rozkladu. (cs)
  • We studied the decomposition of n-heptane by DC holow-needle-to-mesh electrical discharge with or without a TiO2 photocatalyst. The discharge was enhanced by flowing air or a mixture of air with n-heptane through the needle. The experiments with photocatalyst were performed with a TiO2-coated stainless steel mesh and with a mesh covered with TiO2 globules. In each of these cases, the efficiency of n-heptane decomposition increases with increasing energy density. A maximum decomposition efficiency of 50.4% was obtained for the discharge with a mesh covered with TiO2 globules for an energy density of 350 kJ.m-3 at a relative humidity of the mixture of 27%. For a given energy density, the decomposition efficiency is largest for the mesh covered with TiO2 globules. In this case, the humidity improves the decomposition efficiency.
