| - Termodynamická predikce složení plasmově stříkaných povlaků ZrO2-CaO (cs)
- Plasma-sprayed zirconia-based coatings are of great interest due to their excellent mechanical and thermal properties. This contribution is focused on thermodynamic aspects of the plasma-spraying of calcia-stabilized zirconia. The thermodynamic analysis of the system Zr-Ca-O-N was performed. The Gibbs energy minimization method was used for calculations of equilibrium composition of this system in the temperature range of 1000 - 4000 K. The gaseous phase consists of 11 species (Ca, Ca2, CaO, Zr, ZrO, ZrO2, ZrN, O, O2, N and N2), the oxide melt CaO-ZrO2, cubic and tetragonal solid solutions CaO-ZrO2 and pure solid substances ZrO2(monoclinic), CaO, CaZrO3, Ca6Zr19O44 and ZrN were included into the calculations. Calculated results reveal that the calcium-containing gaseous species are more stable than those of zirconium and the ratio of Ca/Zr in condensed phases (solid or liquid) is less than this ratio in input feedstock powder. So CaZrO3 and cubic solid solution CaO-ZrO2 represent the equilibrium phase
