  • Catalytic decomposition of N2O offers a simple solution of the N2O control in waste gases e.g. from nitric acid industry. Kinetic of N2O decomposition over catalyst prepared by calcination of Co-Mn hydrotalcite have been examined at temperature range 330 - 450°C at various N2O and O2 initial partial pressure in integral fixed-bed reactor, GHSV = 12 - 96 l.gcat-1.h-1. Kinetic data were evaluated by linear and non-linear regression method, 19 kinetic expressions were tested. Based on the results obtained a redox model of N2O decomposition was proposed. The surface oxygen formation is caused either by N2O according to (R1) (prevailing at low pO2) or by molecular oxygen from gas phase (R3) (prevailing at higher pO2). Both reaction (R1) and (R2) participate in the overall reaction rate and k1 k2. The surface oxygen decay proceeds by Eley-Rideal mechanism according to (R2). The exchange of the adsorbed oxygen with lattice oxygen is proposed, anion vacancies can act as subsurface active center.N2O +

  • Katalytický rozklad N2O nabízí jednoduché řešení odstranění N2O z odpadních plynů, např. v průmyslu kyseliny dusičné. Kinetika rozkladu N2O na katalyzátoru připraveném kalcinací Co-Mn hydrocalcitu byla zkoumána v rozsahu teplot 330 - 450 °C při různých počátečních parciálních tlacích N2O a O2 v reaktoru s pevným ložem, GHSV = 12 - 96 l.gcat-1.h-1. Kinetická data byla vyhodnocena lineární a nelineární regresí. Testováno bylo 19 vyjádření kinetických vztahů.Na základě získaných výsledků byl navržen redox model rozkladu N2O. Tvorba povrchového kyslíku je způsobena buď N2O podle (R1) (převládá při nízkém pO2) nebo molekulárním kyslíkem z plynné fáze (R3) (převládá při vyšším pO2). Na celkové reakční rychlosti se podílí obě rovnice (R1) a (R2) a k1 k2. Rozklad povrchového kyslíku probíhá Eley-Ridealovým mechanismem v souladu s (R2). Předpokládá se výměna mezi adsorbovaným kyslíkem a kyslíkem z krystalové mřížky. Aniontové vakance mohou působit jako podpovrchová aktivní ccentra.N2O + * N2 + (cs)
