| Description
| - A four-decades-long civil war in the Republic of Angola was finished only two years ago. The consequences have deeply influenced the whole country, in particular the national economy. The priority of the post-war rehabilitation is re-encouraging food security of the country which is obviously connected to the development of agriculture. The aim of this project is to establish Centre of agricultural educational and develop training and extension services for local farmers in the Bie province (located in the central Angola and occupying 72 000 km2). The Bié province is one of the provinces most affected by the civil war. Up to the establishment of the Centre the province had lacked any secondary agricultural education. The establishment of the centre will help in solving food problems and at the same time in generating new labour opportunities. The educational activity of the centre can also support local governmental effort to solve the socio-demographic problem, i.e. depopulation and the consequenti
