Description	Three experimental catchments were established in 1998 in the Bohemian Forest National Park to monitor the effects of different forest management practices after the bark beetle calamity. The catchments differ in terms of the type of forest (dead and naturally regenerating forest, harvested and artificially replanted forest, original healthy forest). The paper presents the results of more than 10 years of hydrological monitoring in the catchments. The changes to the forest caused by the bark beetle calamity were most clearly reflected in the change of the thermal regime. The water conductivity data also indicate possible changes in runoff formation, as the event water fraction became more important in areas featuring forest clearings. Copyright 2010 IAHS Press.
