| Description
| - Important part of forest management is forest building industries and capital construction of forest road network above all. The principle of optimal forests and forest stands maintenance is their reasonable opening by forest road network. The basic frameworks of forest road network are forest transport roads of various grades and categories. The paper discusses the basic parameters of forest transport roads, like are the length of forest transport roads and their density outspread to area of particular district above all. On the basis of these parameters are shown and confronted conditions of forest opening in 43 Natural Forest Regions of the Czech Republic. The dilemma of the twice dividing of forest transport roads, accordance both to ČSN 73 6108 – Lesní dopravní síť and to the methodology realized by Forest management institute in Brandýs nad Labem, are shortly described in the paper too.
