Description
  • The capacitance sensor technique should be used for determination of different properties of plant materials. The function of capacitance sensors depends on the fact that the dielectric constant of the air/material mixture between parallel plates increases with material concentration. A parallel plate capacitance sensor driven at 27 MHz frequency was designed for the measurement. The static laboratory measurements were carried out. The results showed strong relationship between the weight of material and measuring circuit output voltage. On the basis of our measurement it is possible to recommend this developed method for further research.
