Description
  • The objective of the study was to verify a hypothesis that simultaneous exposition of prepubertal gilts to zearalenone (ZEA) and soya phytoestogens may lead to enhanced estrogenic effects. The feed mixture contained or the soya or the fish meal. The half of animals fed by individual types of feed mixture obtained ZEA in a dose corresponding to 1,3 ppm in the feed. In ZEA-animals a pink swalowed vulva, an enlargement of uterus and histological marks of endometrial estrogenisation were observed. The changes were statisticaly significant. The effects in uterus were somewhat more intensive in group with soya, but differences were insignificant. Some insignificant differences in non-ZEA animals according to the type of feed mixture (light estrogenic effects of soya) were observed too.
