  • Porcine oocytes are in vitro conditions parthenogenetically actived (70%) after the treatment with 2mM NO-donor SNAP for 10 hours. The blockage of inositol triphosphate receptors has no effect on the activation of oocytes ba NO-donor. On the other hand, the blockers of ryanodine receptors procaine and ruthenium red blocked the activation of the oocytes induced by NO donor. These data indicate that the activation of pig oocytes with NO-donor is calcium-dependent. For the mobilization of intracellular calcium stores, the ryanodine receptors but not inositol triphosphate receptors play a key role.
