Description
  • Altogether 491 specimens of the family Agromyzidae representing 59 species were found by means of three collecting methods in six peat-bogs in the Šumava Mts (Kyselovský les, Pěkná, Malá Niva, Chalupská slať, Jezerní slať, Hraniční = Luzenská slať) situated at different altitudes (from 725 to 1,170 m a.s.l.). Three collecting methods are compared: yellow pan water traps (105 specimens / 28 species), Malaise traps (152 / 37) and sweeping (234 / 19). Only three species, viz Cerodontha (Icteromyza) capittata, Metopomyza interfrontalis and Phytomyza flavofemorata were eudominant, one species (Chromatomyia fuscula) was dominant. Only two species were found in all localities under study, viz Liriomyza flaveola and Phytomyza soenderupi. These species, together with those collected in 5 localities (Cerodontha (Cerodontha) denticornis, M. interfrontalis, Phytomyza flavofemorata and Ph. rostrata) were euconstant. The majority of species recorded do not display a distinct affinity to peat-bogs, and are tyrhoneu
