Description
  • For the evaluation of the current stage of arable weed vegetation, a survey in 2 agricultural companies in different agroclimatic regions of the Czech Republic was carried out. The results show that the worse environmental conditions decreased the total number of weed species, mainly the number of thermophilous late summer annual weeds. The most important and widespread species were indifferent to environmental conditions. Biennial and perennial weed species were most abundant on field margins. The number of weed species was very low in the field cores in comparison with whole stands with margins. Inside of the crop stands (except field margins) there were 13.94 species in average in both companies (this number varied between 8 to 23 species, and differences between the individual companies were low). According to the mean degree of weediness counted, an order of weed species was created with respect to individual crops and companies. In average, Viola arvensis MURRAY was on the first position in bot
