Description	The effect of chloride and sulphate contained in potassium fertilizers on the accumulation of Cd in plant biomass and the mobility of cadmium in soil were investigated in pot experiment on three different soils. The accumulation of Cd in plant biomass was stronger affected by maize yield at different treatments and by changes of soil pH than by the application of different potassium fertilizers. On Chernozems and Luvisols, the application of K2SO4 decreased and the application of KCl significantly increased Cd concentrations in plant biomass while the yield increased significantly when potassium sulfate was applied into soil.
