Description	The paper analyzes the development of economic convergence in Europe during the 2002-2012 period. Eleven cluster analyses (one analysis for each year of the period) are applied to twenty-five advanced economies (OECD members) and six criteria, such as labor force migration, openness of economies and so on. Data for the convergence criteria for individual countries are obtained from the Eurostat, OECD, and IMF databases. The paper is bound in this respect to theoretical assumptions concerning the criteria which determine the so-called optimum currency area. Convergence trend is analyzed due to different distances among defined clusters. According to results of the cluster analyses, there is no permanent significant convergence trend in Europe.
