Description	The paper reflects on the possibilities of using multilingual academic European Language Portfolio from the CercleS project in Specialist Language Preparation (SLP) at schools of higher education and universities of non-philological orientation. The paper concentrates on the analysis of the chapter on “learning how to learn” from one of the sections in the ELP language biography. Further, the paper presents its evaluation performed by the students of environment economy from HS Niederrhein, Germany and students of the German language courses at the Department of Language at FEM CULS Prague.
