Description	Within the context of the discussion on strategies for nature conservation, the utilisation of renewable energy sources became the focus of public interest. Biomass as energy plant can be product on farm land and thus open opportunities for the continuation of land use and bring additional income for farmers. The paper aims to explore the possibilities of farm land use for growing energy plants, which could be a source of row materials for anticipated biofuels production in the Czech Republic. The paper was supported by the grant IGA FEM CULS No. 200711110019 „Modelling of fuel market equilibrium and biodiesel production efficiency”.
