| - Obilky ječmene jsou zdrojem řady chemických sloučenin, ze kterých mají zdravotně preventivní účinky např. látky s antioxidačními vlastnostmi, vitamíny a určité formy dietetické vlákniny. Pro potravinářské účely se perspektivně nejlépe uplatní speciální odrůdy s geneticky podmíněným obsahem vitamínu E. Tento vitamín patří mezi nejvýznamnější lipofilní antioxidanty chránící eukaryotické buňky před poškozením volnými radikály, které poškozují DNA a způsobují např. věkové pigmenty, šedý zákal, arteriosklerózu, snižují hladinu cholesterolu atd. Obsah izomerů vitamínu E, tj. tokoferolů a tokotrienolů, byl sledován u nově vytvořených linií a porovnáván se sladovnickými odrůdami (Kompakt, Krona) zvyšujícími výnos zrna a americkými waxy odrůdami (Wabet, Wanubet, Washonubet), které byly do křížení zařazeny jako donory zvýšeného obsahu tokolů. Kromě genetického faktoru, který se uplatňuje na variabilitě a obsahu vitamínu E, byly sledovány i faktory: pokusné roky, způsob pěstování a produkce zrna. (cs)
- Vitamin E may help prevent or delay coronary heart disease by limiting the oxidation of LDL-cholesterol, prevent the formation of blood clots which could lead to a heart attack, protect against the damaging effects of free radicals, which may contribute to the development of chronic diseases such as cancer, prevent diabetes and delay Alzheimer's and other diseases of the brain. The aim of this work was to study the variability of the content of vitamin E, its isomers and its activity in the grain of selected parental forms and their lines. Waxy varieties (Wabet, Wanubet, Washonubet), malting varieties (Kompakt, Krona) and lines were obtained from these varieties in 2000 (F4), 2001 (F5), 2002 (F6) at School Company MZLU Žabčice. Seed of parents and lines of thirteen varieties were sown in three repetitions as treatment and non-treatment variation. The assesment of tocols were analyzed using the method of HPCL with fluorescence detection.
