Description
  • The paper is focused on the quantitative analysis of the aircraft decompression. It was studied the influence of the size of discharge opening and the aircraft cabin volume on the decompression time history of cabin pressure and temperature. The mathematical model for the comprehensive theoretical analysis of the aircraft cabin decompression was developed. Differential equations are solved by numerical integration with MATLAB using the explicit fourth-order Runge-Kutta method. Presented model of decompression is verified by the discharge of pressurized air from a pressure vessel into free atmosphere. It is because the aircraft slow and rapid decompression processes are quite similar to discharging the pressure vessel. Very good agreement between the simulated results and the experimental results of pressure time courses is obtained.
