Description
  • The article deals with the optimization of OFDM systems based on the dynamic loading of parallel channels. The main advantage of the dynamic loading is achieving better performance with less energy consumption. The article provides an analysis of the implementation possibility in frequency selective, slowly varying channels with coherence time several times longer than the symbol duration. In simulations, we used computation of the water-filling for the dynamic margin adaptive (DMA) loading. The loading with discrete information units is based on the Levin-Campello efficientizing algorithm followed by the B-tightening algorithm. The article investigates possibilities a reverse link from a receiver to a transmitter providing channel state information which is a crucial part of the loading algorithm.
