Description
  • The paper presents the methodology describing hyperelastic mechanical behaviour of elastomers Polytan for damper applications, e.g. light aeroplane landing gear device. The goal is to determine pressing deformation force with respect to the specimen deflection and the amount of absorbed energy. There are used cylindrical parts with and without an axial hollow. The methodology covers two elastomer harnesses 80 and 90 ShA, next the effects of specimen geometry, hardness, friction on contact surfaces and specific behaviour of elastomers in static and dynamic loading. Influencing factors are discussed. The methodology is proven by an experiment with damper arrangement. Also there is introduced a Finite Element Method model for mentioned elastomeric elements using Ansys software. Similarities and deviations are discussed.
