Description
  • The Basquin function describing S-N curves in the region of finite life can be extended for various test temperatures. It is generally true that a decrease in temperature leads to a shift of the curves towards higher strength values. This regularity is not valid in high-temperature region, where presence of creep substantially decreases the stress, and also in very-low-temperature region where the athermal processes of plastic deformation stop the increase of stress with decreasing temperature.

  • Basquinovu funkci popisující Wöhlerovy křivky v oblasti časované únavy lze rozšířit pro různé teploty zkoušek. Obecně platí, že nižší teplotě odpovídá posuv Wöhlerovy křivky směrem k vyšším napětím, přičemž velikost tohoto posunu určuje hodnota parametru teplotní citlivosti. Uvedená zákonitost neplatí ve vysokoteplotní oblasti, kde přítomnost creepu vede k výraznějšímu poklesu napětí, a také v oblasti velmi nízkých teplot, kdy atermální procesy plastické deformace zastavují růst napětí s klesající teplotou.
