| Description
| - The paper deals with current state of additives, in particular additive Envirox. The project of defense research “ENVIROX“ has been completed and it is necessary to assess some of its benefits for the Army of the Czech Republic. It is essential to make recommendations for practical use in military conditions, or in case of prevailing negative reviews to express that it is unsuitable form of saving precautions at this area of operation. The presented paper states the basis of the energy balance of diesel engines and recommendations for laboratory tests and experiments. Further, there are partially declared some of recent results from braking engine T3 - 930-31 on the bench. The results are focused on the cleaning effect of additives including documented results before and after the tests. Authors present some obtained characteristics of additives during storage and discuss the suitability for military conditions. Furthermore, the paper mentions some of the benefits and facts of operation in ACR, in transportation companies of the Czech Republic and abroad. By foreign partners is primarily declared an increase of additive users in the bus transport in the UK. Authors use methods such as methodology for measuring the braking bench, comparative methods in micro-measurement and common analytical and comparative methods.
