Description	After the Cold War, the risk of a global military confrontation significantly decreased, however the disappearance of bipolar system paradoxically created the conditions for the eruption of a number of local and regional conflicts, which currently run to as many as several dozen. Their number, severity and impact are increasing, and especially there is a change in their qualities and characteristics. Conflicts between states are far outnumbered by intrastate conflicts; causes or reasons for conflict have significantly changed (conflicts of large secular ideologies were replaced by a clash of economic, national and religious values). Changing the frequency and form of states involvement in armed conflict has a major impact on current and anticipated tasks, capabilities and shape of regular armies.
