Description
  • The mechanism of the decomposition and hydrolylsis of 1-chloro-2-ethylthioethane (CETE), has been studied by solvent extraction method. Chloroform as organic phase and buffer water phase were used. CETE has formedrelatively stable intermediate cations S2(+) and S2(2+). The second one has been extracted preferably as ionic associate with bis(1,2-dicarbollyl)cobaltate anion, labeled with 60Co. The values of half-time of hydrolytic products were calculated.
