Description
  • Long- and short-winged males of the firebug P. apterus differ in mobilisation of lipids from the fat body and the difference is related to the titre of AKHs. We found higher AKH content in CNS of macropterous males during the first ca. 17 days after imaginal emergence. But, later on no significant differences between the levels of AKH content in CNS of macropterous and brachypterous males were found. The AKH level in haemolymph was significantly higher in a few days old macropterous males, but substantially lower in older macropterous males than in brachypterous males. There was also more intensive mobilisation of lipid reserves after topical application of AKH in macropterous males. The obtained data prove the endocrine regulation of differences in the lipid mobilisation in males of wing-polymorphic insects and indicate that macropterous males of P. apterus retain the neuroendocrine mechanisms typical for flying insects.

  • Dlouho- a krátkokřídlí samci ruměnice pospolné Pyrrhocoris apterus se liší v mobilizaci lipidů z tukového tělesa a tento rozdíl má vztah k hladině AKH. Zjistili jsme vyšší obsah AKH v CNS u makropterních samčích jedinců starých asi 17 dní. U starších jedinců se však situace změnila a mezi hladinami AKH v CNS obou morf jsme nepozorovali žádné rozdíly. Hladina AKH v hemolymfě byla vyznamně vyšší u mladších makropter, ale podstatnš vyšší u starších. Po topikální aplikaci AKH byla také zaznaména vyšší hladina mobilizace lipidových rezerv u makropter. Získaná data prokázala endokrinní regulaci rozdílů lipidového metabolismu u křídelních morf a naznačila, že makropterní samci P. apterus si zachovávají endokrinní mechanismy typické pro létající hmyz.
