  • V polovině června a srpna 1999 se uskutečnily pokusy ve dvou šumavských jezerech Čertově a Plešném zaměřené na sledování změn bakterioplanktonu a fytoplanktonu v závislosti na přídavku anorganického uhlíku (DIC), fosforu a zvýšení pH. Zelené řasy a vláknité sinice jsou charakteristické pouze pro Plešné jezero zatímco dinoflageláti a chrysofyta se vyskytují v obou jezerech. Dostupnost P se jeho přidáním v první variantě pokusu nezvýšila, protože přidaný P byl zabudován do biomasy bakterií. Skokové zvýšení pH mělo za následek významné snížení primární produkce. Biomasa fytoplanktonu v této variantě poklesla, protože změnou pH došlo ke zvýšení limitace fosforu, který se koprecipitoval s hliníkem. Přídavek DIC se na biomase ani fotosyntetické aktivitě fytoplanktonu nijak neprojevil. (cs)
  • In June and August 1999 bottle experiments examining the effects of phosphorus (P), dissolved inorganic carbon (DIC) enrichment, and pH manipulation (base addition) were conducted in two acidified lakes (Čertovo and Plešné). Dinoflagellates and chrysophytes were present in each of the lakes. Chlorophytes and filamentous cyanobacteria were particularly dominant in Plešné Lake. After P addition, phytoplankton remained P limited as a consequence of low P availability due to its rapid incorporation into bacterial biomass. With pH treatment primary production was significantly reduced. Phytoplankton biomass was reduced as well, as the likely result of P precipitation with aluminium. DIC addition had no apparent effect on any of the parameters investigated.
