Description	A continuous flow cultivation system was used to study interactions between enchytraeids and soil microorganisms during glucose decomposition. An increase of CO2 production by approximately 32% was observed after introduction of Enchytraeus albidus to the soil columns, which were enriched continuously with glucose. The enchytraeid CO2 production and enchytraeid feeding activity are discussed as the most likely reasons of the increase.
