Description	The mitochondrial RNA-binding proteins (MRP) 1 and 2 play a regulatory role in RNA editing and putative role(s) in RNA processing in Trypanosoma brucei. Here, we report the purification of a high molecular weight protein complex consisting solely of the MRP1 and MRP2 proteins from the mitochondrion of T. brucei. The MRP1/MRP2 complex natively purified from T. brucei and the one reconstituted in E. coli in vivo bind guide (g) RNAs and pre-mRNAs with dissociation constants in the nanomolar range, and efficiently promote annealing of pre-mRNAs with their cognate gRNAs. (en) Mitochondriální RNA-vážící proteiny (MRP) 1 a 2 hrají regulační roli při editování RNA a dalších možných rolích při procesování u Trypanosoma brucei. V této práci jsme se zabývali čištěním vysokomolekulárních proteinových komplexů skládajících se pouze z MRP1 a MRP2 proteinů z mitochondrie T. brucei. MRP1/MRP2 komplex nativně vyčištěný z T. brucei podobně jako stejný komplex vytvořený v E. coli váže in vivo guide (g) RNA molekuly, stejně jako pre-mRNA molekuly s disociační konstantou v nanomolárním rozsahu. Dále účinně zesiluje vazbu pre-mRNAs k jejich příslušným gRNAs. (cs)
