  • Pomocí sekvenční frakcionační analýzy fosforu (P), hliníku (Al) a železa jsme zrekonstruovali vývoj sorpčních chrakteristik sedimentu Plešného jezera (Česká Republika) v období pozdního glaciálu a Holocénu (posleddních 14 000 let). Nejvýznamnější změna nastala před 10 000 lety na počátku Holocénu, kdy se vytvořily stabilní půdy a les v povodí a poklesla půdní eroze. Jako důsledek zvýšeného terestrického exportu Al, sediment ztratil schopnost uvolňovat P v anoxických podmínkách. Tento Al se uvolňuje fotochemickými reakcemi z organických komplexů, přitékajících do jezera z půd v povodí. (cs)
  • We reconstructed the development of sediment phosphorus (P) sorption characteristics through the Late Glacial and Holocene periods on the basis of sequential fractionation analysis of P, aluminum (Al), and iron in a 14,000-yr-long sediment record from Plešné Lake, Czech Republic. The most significant change occurred at the Late Glacial–Holocene transition (10,000 yr before present), when the watershed became forested and soil erosion decreased. The sediment lost its ability to release P in anoxia due to elevated terrestrial export of Al. The Al originated from photochemical liberation of dissolved organically-bound Al exported to the lake from soils.
