| - Soil nematodes were studied at 13 sites in the colliery spoil heap Pastvina formed of tertiary clays and left to spontaneous succession in the Sokolov coal mining district,Czech Republic. The one-year-old site had a very low abundance of nematodes (1,1-2,7 ind.cm-2), in the 5-year-old site nematode populations increased considerably (51,3-137,4 ind.cm-2) and in older sites they varied (7,9-1023,0 ind.cm-2) without detectable relationships with the age of the site. On the other hand, the diversity of nematode assemblages increased with the age of the site and developing plant cover. Bacterivorous and fungivorous nematodes occurred at all sites, having a eudominant position in many assemblages. The distribution of omnivores was variable as some species dominated in the 5-year-old site (Eudorylaimus bombilectus) whereas other (Aporcelaimellus obtusicaudatus) appeared and became eudominant in 14-15-year-old sites.

- Půdní hlístice byly studovány na 13 stanovištích uhelné výsypky Pastvina, tvořené třetihorními jíly v Sokolovské hnědouhelné pánvi, která byla ponechána spontánní sukcesi. Jeden rok staré stanoviště mělo jen velmi nízkou abundanci hlístic (1,1-2,7 ind.cm-2), na pět let starém stanovišti populační hustoty hlístic značně vzrostly (51,3-137,4 ind.cm-2) a na starších stanovištích byly jejich populace proměnlivé (7,9-1023,0 ind.cm-2) bez zřetelné vazby na stáří stanoviště. Diverzita společenstev hlístic narůstala se stářím stanoviště a s postupným vývojem porostu rostlin. Bakteriofágní a mykofágní hlístice se vyskytovaly na všech stanovištích a měly eudominantní postavení v mnoha společenstvech. Distribuce omnifágních hlístic byla proměnlivá, protože některé druhy dominovaly na pět let starém stanovišti (např. Eudorylaimus bombilectus), zatímco jiné (např. Aporcelaimellus obtusicaudatus) se objevovaly později a výrazně dominovaly na 14-15 let starých stanovištích. (cs)
