Description
  • Látkové toky hlavních iontů a živin v ekosystému silně acidifikovaného Čertova jezera (CT) a jeho povodí byly měřeny v hydrologických letech 2001-2005. Transformace N a vyplavování síranů byly hlavními zdroji protonů (810 a 470 mol/ha/rok) v CT povodí. Jezerní biogeochemické procesy (denitrifikace a asimilace dusičnanů, redukce síranů a fotochemický a mikrobiální rozklad aniontů organických kyselin) snížily látkový tok protonů o 50%. Čisté zadržení živin (C, P, N a Si) v jezeře činilo 18-34%. (cs)
  • Fluxes of major ions and nutrients were measured in the watershed-lake ecosystem of a strongly acidified Čertovo Lake, in the 2001-2005 hydrological years. The ecosystem has been recovering from acidification since the late 1980s. Still, however, Čertovo watershed was an average net source of 230 mol/ha/yr of sulfate. Nitrogen saturation of the watershed caused low retention of the deposited inorganic N (23% on average). Nitrogen transformations and sulfate release were the dominant terrestrial sources of protons (810 and 470 mol/ha/yr, respectively) and the watershed was a net source of 420 mol proton/ha/yr. The in-lake biogeochemical processes (denitrification and assimilation of nitrate, sulfate reduction, and photochemical and microbial decomposition of organic acid anions) reduced the incoming protons by 50%. The net in-lake retention or removal of nutrients (carbon, phosphorus, nitrogen, and silica) varied between 18% and 34% of their inputs.
