Description
| - Klonové izoláty druhů rodu Snowella a Woronichinia byly charakterizovány jednak poprvé provedenými sekvencemi genu 16S rRNA, jednak jejich morfologií. Pět klonů, které byly použity, bylo identifikováno podle botanických kritérií jako Snowella litoralis (Hayrén) Komárek et Hindák, Snowella rosea (Snow) Elenkin and Woronichinia naegeliana (Unger) Elenkin. Podle analýzy genu 16S rRNA vytvořil rod Snowella monofyletickou skupinu, která byla nejvíce příbuzná klonu Woronichinia naegeliana. Naše výsledky dokazují, že morfologie rodů Snowella a Woronichinia jsou v dobré shodě s fylogenetickou analýzou. Oba rody jsou přítomny všeobecně a mohou vytvořit i velké populace ve Finských jezerech. Woronichinia vytváří vodní květy v eutrofních ořehradních nádržích v České republice (cs)
- The isolates of Snowella and Woronichinia species were characterized by the firstly achieved 16S rRNA gene sequencing and by morphological analysis. By botanical criteria, the five isolated strains were identified as Snowella litoralis (Hayrén) Komárek et Hindák, Snowella rosea (Snow) Elenkin and Woronichinia naegeliana (Unger) Elenkin. In the 16S rRNA gene analysis, the Snowella strains formed a monophyletic cluster, which was most closely related to the Woronichinia strain. Our results show that the morphology of the genera Snowella and Woronichinia was in congruence with their phylogeny. Both genera occurred commonly and might occasionally be the most abundant cyanobacterial taxa in Finnish lakes. Woronichinia is forming blooms in eutrophic Czech reservoirs.
