Description	The study deals with activities of order communities in Jindřichův Hradec in the 13th to the 16th centuries. The text on the convents in Jindřichův Hradec itself is preceded with a short look into the history of order communities in the south of Bohemia. Twelve order communities operated there in almost twenty order convents before 1420. The same number could be found at the map of the south of Bohemia in 1450-1620. Major towns of the region housed at least one convent and some of them (České Budějovice, Český Krumlov and Jindřichův Hradec) even more convents. However, in the peripheral parts of the region were order houses rather ex-ceptional. This was also the case of the convents in Jindřichův Hradec. Activities of ecclesiastic orders in Jindřichův Hradec were tightly connected with the local noble family. The economic flourishing of the dominion and the political rise of the lords of Hradec positively influenced the constitution of the ecclesiastic administration and institutions in their reside (en) Příspěvek přibližuje působení řeholních společenství v Jindřichově Hradci v období od počátku 13. do počátku 17. století. Vlastnímu výkladu o jindřichohradeckých konventech předchází malý exkurs do minulosti řeholních společenství na jihu Čech, kde již před rokem 1420 působilo v téměř dvou desítkách řádových domů celkem 12 řeholních společenství. Přibližně stejný pohled na řeholní mapu jižních Čech se nabízí i pro léta 1450-1620. Významnější města v kraji ve sledovaném období ve svých zdech po určitou dobu hostila alespoň jeden konvent, některá (České Budějovice, Český Krumlov a Jindřichův Hradec) i více, přičemž v okrajových částech regionu se řeholní domy nacházely pouze výjimečně - to je případ i jindřichohradeckých konventů. Působení církevních řádů v Jindřichově Hradci bylo úzce provázáno s místní vrchností.
