  • Škody způsobené predačním tlakem kormorána velkého na rybích obsádkách jsou výsledkem nejen přímé predace, tj. konzumu ryb, ale také dalších vlivů jako je zraňování a stresování ryb. Pokud nedojde k úhynu a takto způsobená zranění se zahojí, ryby přesto ztrácejí tržní hodnotu. Stres u ryb může vést ke zhoršení tělesné a zdravotní kondice. Fultonův koeficient kondice (FCC) byl vypočten a porovnáván pro zraněné a zdravé ryby z 5 jihomoravských rybníků. Vysoce průkazný rozdíl (P = 0,0011) v FCC byl shledán mezi nezraněnými (1,48 ? 0,11, n = 19) a zraněnými (1,33 ? 0,14, n = 19) rybami u dvouletého kapra lysce Cyprinus carpio, narozdíl od šupinatého kapra stejné hmotnostní a velikostní kategorie, u kterého rozdíl mezi zdravými jedinci (FCC 1.41 ? 0,25, n = 33) a zraněnými (FCC 1.46 ? 0.47, n = 33) nebyl prokazatelný (P >0.05). K vyhodnocení rozsahu poranění těla jedinců byla použita počítačová analýza obrazu. V případě šupinatého a lysého kapra byla ranění identifikována na 1,93 a 0,89 % povrchu těla (cs)
