  • Proportions of offspring from five common carp males contributing to a sperm pool composed of equalized sperm concentrations (N-progeny) or equal sperm volumes (V-progeny) were each compared to a uniform distribution. Four microsatellite markers (MFW1, MFW6, MFW7, MFW28) were used to determine the paternity of the progeny. The homogeneity of offspring numbers from each male for the two types of progeny, were tested using an exact test for the likelihood-ratio chi-square. Numbers of offspring in the progeny groups were highly variable (0.4-50 % in V-progeny, 2.4-41.2 % in N-progeny) and highly significantly different as shown by Pearson chi-square statistics (χ2 =189, 4 d.f., p<0.0001 in V-progeny and χ2 =139, 4 d.f., p<0.0001 in N-progeny).   • Proporcionální zastoupení pěti mlíčáků kapra obecného v potomstvu vzniklém oplozením jiker dávkou spermatu každého z mlíčáků o stejném počtu spermií (N-progeny) nebo jednotným objemem spermatu (V-progeny) bylo porovnáváno s rovnoměrným zastoupením. Čtyři mikrosatelitní markery (MFW1, MFW6, MFW7, MFW28) byly využity k určení paternity v potomstvu. Vyrovnanost počtu potomstva jednotlivých mlíčáků byla porovnávána pomocí chi-kvadrát statistiky. Zastoupení pěti mlíčáků v potomstvu bylo velmi nerovnoměrné (0.4-50 % pro V-progeny, 2.4-41.2 % pro N-progeny) a signifikantně odlišné podle Pearsonovy chi-kvadrát statistiky (χ2 =189, 4 d.f., p<0.0001 pro V-progeny a χ2 =139, 4 d.f., p<0.0001 pro N-progeny). Odlišné zastoupení mlíčáků mezi dvěma skupinami potomstva (p<0.05) společně se snížením hodnoty χ2 ze 189 na 139 ukázalo, že vyrovnání dávky spermatu podle jeho koncentrace následně snížilo rozdíly v zastoupení jednotlivých mlíčáků.
