| - Three case studies of ammonia autointoxication of the common carp (Cyprinus carpio L.) were described. In the first case, carp yearlings with full digestive tract were transferred during the growing period from pond water (17°C) into tap water (12°C). In the second case, marketable carp were transferred from fishing ground of a pond (18°C) to a storage pond (10-12°C). Harvest was carried out in late September, when the fish were still ingesting natural feed. In the third case, marketable carp after one-month storage were transferred into storage ponds with markedly lower temperature of water. In addition, stress due to harvest and handling occurred in this case as well. In all cases, highly increased concentrations of ammonia in blood plasma of the fish were found (mean # SD: 1760 # 350 mmol l-1 in the first case, 870 # 540 mmol l-1 in the second case, 880 # 150 mmol l-1 in the third case). Highly congested, dark-red coloured, oedematous gills were registered in all specimens. We can avoid similar cas

- V předkládané práci byly popsány tři případové studie autointoxikace kaprů amoniakem. V prvém případě se jednalo o nakrmené kapry (K1) přemístěné ve vegetačním období z rybniční vody (17°C) do vodovodní vody (12°C). V druhém případě byli tržní kapři převedeni z loviště rybníka (18°C) do sádek (10-12°C). Odlov se uskutečnil koncem záři, kdy ještě ryby přijímaly přirozenou potravu. Ve třetím případě byli tržní kapři po jednoměsíčním sádkování přemístěni do sádek s výrazně nižší teplotou. V tomto případě se navíc uplatnil stres vyvolaný odlovem a transportem. Ve všech případech byla zjištěna několikanásobně zvýšená koncentrace amoniaku v krevní plasmě ryb. U všech ryb byly zároveň pozorovány silně překrvené, tmavočervené, edematózně zduřelé žábry. (cs)
