  • Hlavním cílem předkládané práce bylo posoudit kontaminaci řeky Labe a jejího přítoku řeky Vltavy rtutí. K indikaci kontaminace byly použity hodnoty obsahu celkové rtuti ve svalovině ryb. Odběry vzorků byly provedeny v roce 1999, 2002 a 2003 na 6 lokalitách řeky Labe, 2 lokalitách řeky Vltavy a 1 lokalitě řeky Blanice (přítok Vltavy). Jako indikátorové druhy ryb byly použity cejn velký (Abramis brama L.), okoun říční (Perca fluviatilis L.) a jelec tloušť (Leuciscus cephalus L.). Obsah celkové rtuti byl stanoven na jednoúčelovém analyzátoru rtuti AMA 254. Celkem bylo analyzováno 290 kusů ryb. Jako nejvhodnější druh indikující kontaminaci rtutí na řece Labi se ukázal cejn velký. Nejvyšší hodnoty obsahu celkové rtuti byly zjištěny u ryb odlovených na lokalitách Obříství a Lysá nad Labem (p<0,05; p<0,01) oblast mezi 120 až 160 ř.km. Zjištěné hodnoty jsou srovnatelné s hodnotami zjištěnými v období 1991-1996. Naproti tomu v lokalitách Děčín a Hřensko (15-5 ř.km.) došlo v období 1999-2003 k snížení ko (cs)
  • The main aim of the present study was to assess the mercury contamination of the Elbe River and its tributary the Vltava River. Mercury concentrations in fresh fish muscles were used for the contamination assessment. The samples were collected in 1999, 2002 and 2003 at 6, 2 and 1 collection sites from the Elbe River, the Vltava River and the Blanice River (tributary of the Vltava River) respectively. Samples of bream (Abramis brama L.), perch (Perca fluviatilis L.) and chub (Leuciscus cephalus L.) muscle were collected at the monitored sites. The single-purpose mercury analyser AMA 254 was used to determine the total mercury content in the muscle tissue of the fish. In total 290 fish were sampled. Common bream is known to be the most suitable indicator species for evaluation of mercury contamination in the Elbe River.The highest values of total mercury content were found in fish from the localities Obříství and Lysá nad Labem (p<0.05; p<0.01 respectively) section of the river from 120th to 160
