  • Kromě dostupnosti vhodné potravy patří hustoty obsádky a počet úkrytů mezi nejdůležitější faktory ovlivňující produkci v intenzivních a polo-intenzivních chovech raků. V našem experimentu byl studován vliv hustoty raků a počtu úkrytů na aktivitu jednoletých raků signálních (Pacifastacus leniusculus). Testovali jsme kombinace hustoty obsádky 18,8, 28,1 and 34,4 ind.m-2 a poměru raků k úkrytům 1:1, 1:1.5 a 1:2. Pouze v jedné kombinaci byl nalezen rozdíl v aktivitě raků a to v nejvyšší hustotě při poměru raků k úkrytům 1:1, kdy raci omezili svoji aktivitu a pravděpodobně chránili své úkryty.Denní aktivita jednoletých a dospělých raků byla sledována v třídenním nepřetržitém experimentu v plastovém žlabu. Většina jednoletých raků byla aktivních mezi 19.00 a 3.00 hodinou a nejnižší aktivita u nich byla zaznamenána v dopoledních hodinách od 6.00 do 11.00 hod. Dospělí raci byli aktivní nejvíce mezi 19.00 a 2.00 hod. a nejnižší aktivita u nich byla zaznamenána mezi 5.00 a 11.00 hod. (cs)
  • Apart from the availability of suitable food, crayfish density and number of shelters are considered among the most important factors affecting the production in an intensive and/or semi-intensive culture.The effect of crayfish density and of the number of shelters on the activity of one-year-old signal crayfish (Pacifastacus leniusculus) were observed in our experiment. We tested combinations of densities 18.8, 28.1 and 34.4 ind.m-2, and ratios of crayfish to the number of shelters of 1:1, 1:1.5 and 1:2. Only one difference in crayfish activity was found. Crayfish at the highest density and at 1:1 crayfish/shelter ratio restricted their activity and they probably protected their shelters.The daily activity of one-year-old and of adult signal crayfish was investigated in a three-day continuous experiment in fibreglass tanks. Most one-year-old crayfish were active between 19.00 and 03.00 hrs and the lowest activity was registered between 06.00 and 11.00 hrs. The adult crayfish were active between 19.0
