Description	In recent times, one of the most frequently discussed questions among academics and practicing economists has been about the end of the recession and a new dawn of economic growth. Even though the economic recovery had been keenly anticipated, when it came, it brought with it a number of non-trivial decision making problems within private and government sectors. Corporations, governments and central banks have to decide the optimal form and timing of exit strategies, which is not easy considering the uncertainty in the length and size of any future economic growth, not to mention the contemporary geopolitical risks. Among the most difficult decision-making problems are those decisions about private and government investments. At the same time, attention should be paid to the possible effects of the restored economic growth and adopted policies on income and wealth inequalities in society and on environmental consequences. The INPROFORUM 2014 conference offers the opportunity to discuss these contentious issues.
